GHWA Calls for Papers on Effective Retention and Distribution of Health Workers
[GLOBAL] The Global Health Workforce Alliance (GHWA) has put out a call for papers for a peer-reviewed thematic series which will be published in Human Resources for Health: "Right Time, Right Place: Improving access to health service through effective retention and distribution of health workers." The Health Workforce Australia is sponsoring this seires on how countries can keep scarce skills in the system by effective retention strategies, and how they can enable them to be deployed where they can best make a positive difference to population health.
This series aims to address one of countries greatest health challenge, namely to improve access to health services and health system effectiveness through implementation of successful health workers retention and deployment strategies. It will report on new analysis, strategic intelligence, and evidence that is pointing to improvements in retention and distribution of health workers. The deadline for submission is August 31, 2013.
