Increasing Access to Contraception for Clients with HIV: a Toolkit
English
Family Health International, EngenderHealth
2008
The toolkit was developed to facilitate improved access to appropriate and effective contraception for clients with HIV, especially through the strategic integration of family planning with HIV prevention, care, and treatment services. The materials can be used to train health care providers (including those offering ART, VCT, and PMTCT services, as well as FP services) to offer contraceptives to their clients with HIV; to assist program managers and policy-makers with the development of program strategies for integrating family planning and HIV services; and to inform health care professionals about the latest research and technical guidance related to the provision of contraception for people with HIV.
