Protecting the Public: Regulatory Best Practice Conference


 

The eighth international conference on regulation of nursing and midwifery will address key issues that are central to protecting the public. The conference will be held June 2 – 3, 2007 in Yokohama, Japan. It will provide an opportunity to share information, best practices and innovative approaches to the challenges facing professional regulation. Prominent guest speakers will give plenary sessions on aspects of regulation and protecting the public. Concurrent sessions, workshops and posters will address:

  • board governance;
  • competence assessment;
  • discipline;
  • education;
  • licensure and registration; and
  • midwifery regulation.
