UN e-Discussion on Global Public Health
The UN Department for Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the UN Development Program (UNDP) have jointly organized a moderated e-discussion on Global Public Health. The event will be hosted by MDGNet from January 29 to February 26, 2009 as part of the preparatory process for the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Annual Ministerial Review (AMR).
The goal of the e-discussion is to develop recommendations for member states to help strengthen their efforts to address some of the most significant global public health challenges. It will also provide the intergovernmental process with some constructive input on potential efforts which could be undertaken to reduce inequities and improve health and human security worldwide.
The e-discussion is open to all stakeholders.
