Call for Abstracts Extended for Social Work Conference


 

The Social Work and Developmental Social Welfare 2015 Conference has extended its abstract deadline to July 28.
SWSD 2015, which will be held in Eastern Cape, South Africa on October 4-7, 2015, is the first joint conference of the Association of Schools of Social Work in Africa (ASSWA), the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW, Africa), and the Association of South African Social Work Education Institutions (ASASWE).

The main theme of the conference Social work and developmental social welfare: Local realities and global transformations and the carefully crafted sub-themes will provide us with wonderful opportunities to engage in rich dialogue and debate around a range of issues, pertinent to the social work profession and to allied disciplines.

  • Globalisation, growth, inequality and poverty
  • Developing relevant and appropriate locally specific social work education and practice
  • Promoting human dignity, human rights, social justice
