How to Get Published—Advice from Journal Editors
On May 11, the Health Communication Capacity Collaborative hosted a webinar/roundtable discussion among editors of communication journals providing aspiring journal authors with tips for a better chance of getting manuscripts accepted by scholarly journals.
In a news round-up written by Moremi Oladeinde, the advice offered for these aspiring journal authors, included:
- Focus the scope of your research to increase the likelihood of getting published in high-impact factor journals
- Develop a strong abstract outlining research findings or programs
- Sample size is more important than perfect grammar
- Focus on submitting articles with a clearly defined target audience to reach with their article or research findings.
