Conference on Primary Health Care and Health Systems in Africa
The government of Burkina Faso is hosting the first International Conference on Primary Health Care and Health Systems in Africa. The conference will be held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso from April 28-30, 2008. The theme of the conference is "Towards the Achievement of the Health Millennium Development Goals."
Discussion topics include:
- resources (human resources for health, medicine, and technology)
- governance of health systems
- equity in access to quality health services; and
- health financing.
