This paper describes a study about HIV/AIDS knowledge in a South African hospital. The objective of this pilot study was to get insight into the knowledge about HIV/AIDS of medical staff (everybody involved in the hospital care of HIV/AIDS patients, but especially nurses and doctors), as well as their knowledge about and practical use of current hospital HIV/AIDS policy and counselling programmes in a South African state hospital.
