Open Discussion on Priorities in Human Resources for Health

[GLOBAL] The Health Information for All by 2015 (HIFA2015) forum is hosting an email discussion on priorities in human resources for health (HRH), sponsored by the Global Health Workforce Alliance in the run-up to the 3rd Global Forum on Human Resources for Health in Recife, Brazil. The discussions will consider the context of various issues affecting human resources for health such as health worker education, incentives, retention, skills mix, health worker availability, accessibility and acceptability.

The discussions solicit participants' thoughts and experiences on notable achievements and failures in HRH towards universal health coverage, the opportunities and challenges/obstacles in a systems thinking approach to HRH, what needs to be done in the next 10 years, and activities that individuals and organizations can do to help address the HRH crisis. The discussions are open until November 10.

For more information and to join the conversation, visit the HIFA2015 website.
